Mostly no.: This is most commonly a psychiatic condition. Certainly there are a number of non-psyhciatric conditions that can cause a feeling of internal under the skin itching. One group are with skin conditions that are visible, and a second group might not be visible (drug withdrawal, calcium deposits, liver disease, etc.). Thes would be all over, tohers are for smaller areas of skin.
