Contact your doctor: Propranolol is a beta blocker antihypertensive medication. Occasionally, it can be used to treat short term anxiety. Its side effects include dizziness, light-headedness, fatigue, diarrhea, and cold hands and feet. It lowers your blood pressure and heart rate. Patients with diabetes or asthma should not use this medication. Talk to your doctor to discuss other drug options.
