Vaginal tightness: As the pregnancy progresses to 37 weeks, the fetus is putting gravitational and situational pressure on the rectum, vagina, and bladder due to the baby's proximity. As to your desire to initiate sex, please contact your OB MD as there may be reasons to not engage in that activity such as low lying placenta, open cervix, etc.
