You may: need antibiotics ...infection in that area can be very serious if it spreads upward! I woukl first of all remove the ring (I know the hole may seal up but a FOREIGN BODY makes healing an infection impossible!! Hot Wet SOAKS until you can get this evaluated by a Health Care Provider...... Hope this helps! Dr Z
