Can coughing really hard cause a brain aneurysm or other serious problem? i've had a headache since i coughed hard 2 days ago. tylenol (acetaminophen) isn't helping.

It cannot: Coughing hard cannot cause an brain aneurysm. Headache from aneurysmal rupture will be the worst headache of your life. Violent coughing can cause arterial dissection of the carotid or vertebral arteries that can cause headache or neck pain. If you have a primary care physician, get checked up because you need to be worked up and on medications such as blood thinners if you have this.
