A member asked:

Why do women crave chocolate on their periods?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Good question: The normal 28 day period cycle is controlled by the lower part of the brain. Eating chocolate causes secondary vitamin b deficiency. The pm week is a time of brain activity whose actions are exaggerated by this deficiency. Part of the brain activity creates the craving sensation induced originally by (no kidding) eating chocolate in the first place. Hence chocolate is acting as a drug.
