A member asked:

Whats the usual amont of time to start your period after giving birth my dauther is 7 weeks and still aint started?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Variable: Return of menses usually starts by 10 weeks in women who are bottle feeding, but with breast feeding, it is often delayed until after 20 weeks, but can be as long as a year or more. Ovulation, however, may occur without periods, so it is important to resume birth control as soon as one resumes sex.
