Yes: Typically you ovulate (can get pregnant) two week before the expected period. So, breastfeeding women can get pregnant before the periods start. Women with infrequent periods (pcos) can get pregnant after no recent menstrual cycles. If you are not bleeding because of birth control pills or Depo-Provera provera, (medroxyprogesterone) then pregnancy is less likely.
