Shallow breathing: from anxiety. This is very common. We tighten up when we are anxious and rib cage breathe. Work on belly breathing a few times a day, inflate the belly first, then go up to the shoulders, reverse to exhale. See your doc to rule out medical conditions. Peace and good health.
