Lymph node vs cyst: Lump under your ear could represent a periauricular node (lymph node around ear) or a simple skin cyst/gland. If you have ear pain, perhaps swimmer's ear and lump is painful, then it most likely represents swollen lymph node. Painful lump w/o ear infection could be due to boil/pimple aka clogged cyst/gland. Regardless, if lump persists, see your Family Doc or ENT for evaluation.
