See Dermatologist: Any black flat mole should be seen and examined by a Dermatologist. Follow their advise. They may remove and send for biopsy or watch it.

Had 2 large flat moles on my back whole life, became anxious and had them shaved and biopsied. Derm said mild atypia and said not to worry. when sores healed (took months) they both look white with a small bit of pigment in the center. Is this okay?
