It depends. Lime: juice is quite acidic (low pH and very tart or sour taste) due to its citric acid content. It has an acidic effect in the mouth, throat and esophagus. After entering the blood stream, it's neutralized by minerals like sodium, potassium & calcium and becomes more alkaline. Lime water is pretty dilute, so it doesn't have an appreciable effect on the overall acidity of the body. Helpful????
