A member asked:

What does it mean for me when a doctor says i have non-flex able eardrums?

Dr. John Chiu answered

Inner ear: This is either from fluid (bulging) or negative pressure (caving in) in the inner (middle ) ear. Recurrent middle ear infections can also scar up the eardrum so that it would no longer move. This condition is often associated with hearing loss. If you have any problem with hearing, best to see an ear specialist.
