One per day: It depends on what brand of pills you are on. Some have 21 active pills and 7 placebo. Others have 24 and 4. Others have 26 and 2. Take the pills once per day as directed. Confirm with your doctor if you are on a brand that allows an alternative of the normal instructions.

No need to take them: If you do not take your Placebo Pills, you will still get your period provided you wait the same amount of days as the number of placebo pills before starting your next pill pack. If your pill pack has 21 active and 7 placebo pills, then start the next pill pack on Day #8 AFTER finishing your 21 active pills. If your pill pack had 4 placebo pills, then start next pill pack on Day #5.
