An hour is ok: If a woman is protected when taking her pills at, for example 5:00, she has the same protection when taking her pills at 4:00 or at 6:00 (an hour earlier or later) on other days. If she is not protected, for OTHER reasons such as missing pills earlier in the pack, then she is still not protected. That means one hour does not make a difference in the risk of pregnancy.
