I was wondering about a cyst i have on back of my thigh it burst open yesterday and has rancid smelling brown mucus coming out should i be worried?

Possibly Infectious: Most cysts have clear fluid drainage. Without seeing the lesion I would not be able fully tell you. But, from those details it sounds like it could be complicated with a possible infectious etiology considering the color of the discharge and odor. I would recommend seeing your Primary Care Physician and make sure you do not need an antibiotic. If you develop fevers, sooner rather than later.
