A member asked:

When avoiding dairy for 3 months due to eoe, would eosinophils be seen in egd if i still ate it just not as much (once or twice a day instead of all)?

Likely not: If you truly have a problem with dairy, total avoidance is the optimal approach. You have a potentially serious problem which may lead to permanent scarring of the esophagus and cheating on your diet is likely playing Russian roulette. Dairy is hard to avoid but is not an essential nutrient. I hope you are under the care of an allergist also.
