A 3 day: period of such symptoms is most likely due to a GI viral syndrome (eg Norwalk Virus) after that however or repeated attacks deserve evaluation. For the present eat non-spicy foods, drink plain water, no carbonated beverages. Hope this helps\ Dr Z
