2.5 weeks into shingles. antivirals for a week, prior to rash,rash improving still have pain,tramdol for a week but stopped 3days ago. suggestions?

If pain persists: Have found that gabapentin, or Lyrica, (pregabalin) or Cymbalta, can help suppress the pain far better than a traditional analgesic or narcotic. Discuss this approach with your doctor.
