A member asked:

Is there a risk of emptynose syndrome from radiofrequency turbinate ablation reducing first turbinate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. John Chiu answered

Possible: The empty nose syndrome is from too vigorous reduction in the turbinate . Whether you will end up with it or not depends on the vigor of the reduction. It is usually better to be a little less enthusiastic in reducing the turbinate than over vigorous. One can always get more done later.
