Yeast: Yeast infections in men can cause redness and irritation similar to herpes rashes, consider a topical antifungal such as nystatin ointment. Also consider retesting a herpes blood test (not a swab test) and make sure to test for both HSV1 and HSV 2 since both can cause genital herpes.
