How long does it take for big bruises to dissappear? i had a strong motorcycle accident and fell on my left thigh and now it's swollon n red n purple.

timing to heal: If the bruises are only in the tissues immediately below the skin, then you will see them start to spread out in the first 48 or so hours and then disappear out about a week. Of course the concern is whether or not you bruised the deeper tissues such as the muscle. In that case, while it appears normal on the outside, it may take up to several weeks for the pain and abnormal unction to disappear.
