Depends on baby: Most 6 mo infants should still be getting main nutrition from milk/formula and 26-34 oz/d is avg. Solids are started slowly with 2 oz servings and gradually increase to about 4 oz servings of both a cereal and a fruit or veggie/meal. At 6 mo, usually 1-2 meals a day, and increase to 3 meals or 2 + by 9-12 months. If your child cuts back too much on formula, then reduce solids. Enjoy new tastes
