Loose stools: Sounds like infectious colitis. Be cautious if you have pain with defacation, since this can represent a peri-rectal abscess, which is a life threatening condition. Most intestinal infections are viral. Most don't require antibiotics, unless they persist longer than 3 days. Go to ER or urgent care for fever, pain or getting worse.
