Caffeine, Headache: Most consider the headache when stopping your caffeine a form of withdrawal. Many of us have experienced a headache when we don't get our morning dose of coffee, tea, or soda. There may be a more simple explanation - vasospasm. Caffeine in migraine medications helps to relieve migraines and vasospasm, and those used to drinking caffeine get a mild migraine when they abstain.
