... not likely ...: At 27, sudden-onset flank pain is true to strongly suggest stone passing through ureter, but are you sure that is what you suffer? Since the degree of stone-related pain may widely vary, any OTC pain pill may ease the low-degree pain. Unfortunately, most of stone-related pain is severe and unbearable and can not be controlled with OTC drug but requiring narcotics. Hence, go to ER for better care..
