A member asked:

My son is 15 months old and about 2 months ago he had roseola w/swollen glands behind ear they are still there and one in groin. is this common?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: The glands will always be there but will usually peak in size within a week of the infection and slowly decrease in size over a 3-4 wks. If another process stimulates them they may not shrink completely. I rarely have to do anything with glands in these locations.
