Get the mammo: If there was a mammographic abnormality for which they recommended diagnostic mammogram, please follow through. Ultrasound cannot always show what is on a mammogram especially if there are micro calcifications which are sometimes due to breast malignancy. Ultrasound is more helpful for palpable abnormalities and mammography densities, but does not substitute mammogram.
