Expected delay: It is common when you are going through your periods can be delayed. Please try drink plenty of fluids, try not to get stressed. As long as you have had normal periods so far, its not uncommon to miss periods even up to 3 months sometimes as long as pregnancy is not present. You may check for pregnancy with the available kits in pharmacy. You may see your PCP as well to do that.

Stress: During times of stress your menstural cycle may appear irregular. The cramping symptoms may be an early sign that your period is about to start. Some women have pre-menstural cramps which an NSAID (I.e. Ibuprofen or aleeve) will help. Taking a home pregnancy test is not unreasonable if your period is more than 1 week late. If the test is negative and symptoms persist I would follow up your doctor
