Yes to question: To answer your question MBanks, you can have fever with food poisoning. Lettuce has been a culprit in several food poisoning outbreaks from such bacteria as E. coli and Salmonella for example. You would also have diarrhea with these. If you develop a fever over 101.5 F, have blood in your vomit or bloody diarrhea, or have been vomiting for more than 2 days, you need to see a physician.
