A photo is helpful: to diagnose a rash. In a toddler with rash on feet and hands, two things most common: dyshydrotic eczema, which is a type of eczema caused by excess sweating of hands and feet, or a coxsackie virus, called Hand Foot Mouth which is a benign short term viral illness, usually with sores in the mouth as well. Since the itching is gone, OK to wait a few more days before evaluation unless rash spreads

Mgt: I would suggest washing his hands and feet with a gentle soap such as Dove. Apply a local soothing cream to his feet such as calamine, and a dose of children's anti histamine may be used according to the directions to relieve the itching. Possible causes include an allergic reaction or infection. Please see your provider soon. A virtual appointment so that you may upload a photo can be booked.
