Cold,Cold Heart...: One thing you can do before you rush off to have it checked is stop putting ice on it. Ice is good for the immediate injury, but like all reducers of inflammation' it can have chilling effect on the healing rate. Try applying heat and see if the increased blood flow doesn't help. Ligaments have a poor blood supply, so too much cold application can slow the blood flow and slow healing.
