What does metoclopramide do to the stomach?

Enhances peristalsis: This drug helps the stomach empty. It is used for gastroparesis a condition that diabetics may have. It also helps nausea. Not a good medicine for long term use because of side effects that cause movement disorders that mimic Parkinson's disease.
