A member asked:

I have testicular varicocele. does this lead to unfertility? in that case is there any way to have fertile sperm?

Dr. James Lin answered

Yes, but...: Varicocele is common - occurring in some 10-15 % of men, but most of them bears no clinical significance in infertility although varicocele has been known to be associated with poor sperm qualities like count, motility, etc. And 50% of causes for infertility are from females; 30% from males; 20% from both. So, seek evaluation for its significance in an individual couple. Best wish to future...
