No close contact: if you have close contact with anyone and you have meningitis, they may develop it as well. There are many different bacterial and viral causes and they are spread by close contact.

I am skeptical: First, many viral and bacterial strains are infectious. Second, if you truly had meningitis, you would be too ill to party. Third, you do not describe any of your symptoms or problems, so, suggest you see your doctor first, and then decide upon appropriate activity.
