IV site issues: An IV site, by definition, presents some risk for infection because it's a foreign device that's penetrating through the skin. If you had trauma to the area, then it's possible complications may arise from that. You should show this to a doctor -it's quite common to get some mild complications from an IV. Watch out for fevers, chills, expanding redness or anything more severe -that needs tx ASAP
