Heartburn for years. ppi drugs dont help. have small hiatel hernia. cdiff 10 mnths ago. morning heartburn and can't get rid of it. on 300mg of zantac (ranitidine).

Maybe just heartburn: ...But atypical chest pain especially in middle aged women is nothing to ignore. The potential origins may include: heart, lungs, mediastinum, esophagus (due to dysmotility disorders, gastroparesis, biliary/pancreatic trouble, and/or non-acid reflux), musculoskeletal, pericardium (sac around the heart), pleuritis, bronchiitis, or referred pain from a remote site. Further evaluation is warranted.
