Maybe just heartburn: ...But atypical chest pain especially in middle aged women is nothing to ignore. The potential origins may include: heart, lungs, mediastinum, esophagus (due to dysmotility disorders, gastroparesis, biliary/pancreatic trouble, and/or non-acid reflux), musculoskeletal, pericardium (sac around the heart), pleuritis, bronchiitis, or referred pain from a remote site. Further evaluation is warranted.
