Dry mouth: Mouth breathing because of nasal congestion can cause it. Other causes are certain medications and foods, very dry environment, anxiety, electrolyte imbalance, diabetes melitus, diabetes insipidus. For evaluation, I would see an internal medicine specialist who will take a thorough history, perform a complete physical exam and order an appropriate battery of blood tests(liver,kidney,etc).
