If you are: bleeding after sex, you need evaluation by GYN,especially to evaluate your cervix.

Your depo shot is: ..properly scheduled to provide maximal protection against pregnancy. Intermittent or unscheduled bleeding or spotting are common side effects of depo-provera. Vaginal intercourse and/or cervical inflammation may trigger spotting after sexual activity. To be on the safe side, you should schedule a gyn exam at the same time as you schedule your next depo shot. Best wishes! Dr. Anne
