Delay maturity: You probably mean that they are delayed in stopping bed wetting at night. If they are not able to control their bladder or bowels during the day after age 3y, they need to consult with Pediatrician. Inability to control bladder in bed at night is due to delayed maturity. Could run in families. Everyone eventually gets dry at night, although the age this occurs varies. Bladder training can help
