I am having tretiva 40 mg twice daily and i am five days late for my periods.. is it normal? and are they connected?

Unknown: Tretiva can cause many severe side effects and can cause birth defects. I have not heard of specific problems with delayed menstral periods, but, as with many drugs it could be a side effect. If you never has this happen before taking the med, then it is a possible side effect. That being said it also might have nothing to do with your late periods. Very difficult to know.
