Knot: I wonder if you're describing enlarged lymph nodes which can occur in those regions in response to conditions like scalp infection, viral infections,blood disorders or malignancies. Muscle knotting would be an unusual finding in those areas. I recommend that you have these masses examined by a physician to be sure.
