C/w BladderInfection: Urethritis (irritation/pain from urethra) is a classic symptom of bladder infection. Standard approach is to give freshly collected clean-catch mid-stream urine sample: (a) dipstick for leukocytes, (b) spun down with centrifuge & examined under microscope (for bacteria & WBCs) & (c) culture in lab (~4 days) for identifying bacteria which are dominant & what antibiotics they are most sensitive to.
