Period coming: Since your period was 3-4 weeks ago, it is probably time for your period again. Sometimes brownish discharge can proceed the red blood. This is caused by very light bleeding which turns brown by the time you see it (old blood). If it continues to happen you could see a gynecologist for evaluation and possible hormonal treatment to prevent the spotting before your period.
