Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) and abdominal: Why are you on Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen)? and for so long? Is well known to be hepatotoxic, and may induce cirrhosis of the liver. You need a series of blood tests to check your liver enzymes and see if your liver has been compromised. Would you like to make an appointment with me and we go over all issues. Special Risk Patients: As with any narcotic analgesic agent, Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen)® should be used with caution in elderly or debilitated patients and those with severe impairment of hepatic or renal function, hypothyroidism, Addison’s disease, prostatic hypertrophy or urethral stricture. The usual precautions should be observed and the possibility of respiratory depression should be kept in mind.
