There are several: possible causes of your pain, none of which can be evaluated & treated appropriately using HealthTap's Q&A platform. You may have an infection under the nail bed or in the tip of your finger. Perhaps you got a splinter that you were unaware of. You can try warm soaks and OTC pain meds in the meanwhile, but please seek medical care. Dr. Anne.
