Late period is heavy: Typically, if a period is late, the flow can be longer and heavier than usual. A clot is just an episode of heavier bleeding that sticks together before flowing. If the next period is on time and normalizes, then there is nothing to be concerned about. If concerned that you might have been pregnant, see your Dr who can confirm if you had an early miscarriage or rule out the rare ectopic pregnancy
