I bought new frames, but i'm wondering if i can take them to the optometrist and for them to put new lenses in, since i'm also getting an eye exam.

Usually: Most will accomodate you and provide new lenses to put in your frames that you like. A few hold out for the additional profit of supplying you the frame as well. Find an optician who will do this by shopping around.
