Fibromyalgia: Fibromyalgia may cause upper chest muscle pain - there are 2 of the paired tender points located in the neck and upper chest area. Other symptoms include -see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fibromyalgia#/media/File:Fibromyalgia_symptoms.svg Specific criteria are required for the diagnosis so chest muscle pain by itself would NOT give you the diagnosis of fibromyalgia.
