A member asked:

What could cause muscle pain in the chest?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Needs clarification: We have to be certain it is muscle pain and not an underlying lung or cardiac or gastrointestinal problem. Muscle pain can be due to injury, lack of exercise or deconditioning. We see costochondritis which is more of a musculoskeletal than a systemic inflammatory illness. Exercising and conditioning can help.
